Great news for millions of candidates aspiring for government jobs in the banking sector: the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection has announced a significant increase in the Clerk Recruitment 2025. The total number of vacancies has now reached 15,684. This is particularly beneficial for candidates who have cleared the prelims exam and are preparing for the mains exam, potentially reducing the IBPS Prelims cutoff.

Originally, the IBPS issued a notification for 10,277 vacancies, which was revised twice. The latest update adds 2,151 additional positions to the IBPS Clerk vacancy list, reflecting the growing demand for clerk-level positions in public sector banks.

The first increase raised the vacancies to 13,533, and now, with an additional 2,151 vacancies, the total exceeds 15,000. This increase will influence the selection process, allowing more candidates to participate in the IBPS Mains Exam 2025.

States like Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Delhi have seen an increase in vacancies, providing more opportunities for candidates from these regions to secure jobs in government banks. The full vacancy list is now available on the official website at ibps.in.

IBPS Clerk Recruitment 2025: Revised Vacancy Details

The states with the highest number of candidates have seen significant increases:

Uttar Pradesh: Vacancies have risen to 2,781, up from the original 1,315.

Bihar: The number of posts has increased to 760.

Madhya Pradesh: Vacancies have increased from 601 to 958.

Rajasthan: Posts have risen from 328 to 408.

Delhi: The number of vacancies remains unchanged at 279.

IBPS Clerk Mains Exam Pattern 2025:

The final merit will be based solely on the scores obtained in the IBPS Mains 2025 exam. The exam will consist of 155 questions, totalling 200 marks, with a time limit of 120 minutes (two hours). It will cover sections such as General/Financial Awareness, General English, Reasoning Ability, and Quantitative Aptitude. There will be a negative marking of 0.25 marks.
