1. Gold crossed ₹ 1.22 lakh, price increased for the third consecutive day: So far this year, it has become costlier by ₹ 45,936; Silver also at all time high of ₹ 1.52 lakh

Gold and silver prices again reached all-time high on Wednesday (October 8). According to India Bullion and Jewelers Association (IBJA), the price of 10 grams of 24 carat gold increased by Rs 2,157 to Rs 1,22,098. Earlier on Tuesday it was at Rs 1,19,941.

At the same time, silver has become costlier by Rs 4,259 and reached the price of Rs 1,52,700 per kg. Yesterday it was at Rs 1,48,441.

2. The price of veg thali decreased by 10% in September: Non-veg thali also became cheaper by 6%; Prices of potatoes and onions reduced due to fall

The price of a domestic vegetarian thali in India declined by 10% to Rs 28.17 in September (on-year basis). Last year in September-2024, the price of veg thali was Rs 31.30. Capital market company CRISIL has given this information in its monthly indicator of food plate cost.

Crisil said in its Rice Roti Rate (RRR) report that the price of vegetarian thali has decreased by 3% in September compared to August. The price of veg thali in August was Rs 29.1.
