This policy will reduce the long -running consurns with toll plazas located within a radius of 60 km.
The government has announced the annual pass of Fastag. Its price will be ₹ 3,000. From August 15, it will start getting pass. The government claims that this will make toll payment easier on the national highway across the country. These passes are for private vehicles like cars, jeeps, vans and will run for one year or up to 200 trips.
Question 1: What will be the benefit from this? Answer: Those who have more travel and have to recharge fast again and again are most beneficial for those people. Once you have passed, there is no worry about toll payment up to year or 200 trips.
Question 2: How can they take passes? answer: It will be very easy to take. NHAI means, the National Highway Authority of India and the Ministry of Road Transport and Highway will soon launch a separate link on the highway travel app and its official websites. From there you will be able to apply for a pass.
Question 3: What is the rule of 60 km? Answer: Many people complained that if there is a toll plaza within a radius of 60 km of their house, then you have to give toll again and again. Especially those who go through the same path several times a day or many times a week. This annual pass will solve this problem. Now there is no need to give toll every time.
Question 4: Will it work on every toll plaza? answer: Yes, this pass will work on the toll plaza of National Highway across the country. You are going from Delhi to Mumbai, or from Chennai to Bengaluru, everywhere it will be a Fastag pass scan and payment will be made. But pay attention, it will only work on the toll of the National Highway, not on the state highway or local toll.
Question 5: Fastag is already, then why this pass? Answer: Money is deducted every time you cross the toll from Fastag. But with this annual pass, you can roam a fixed amount (₹ 3,000) for a year or 200 trips. This is economical for those who travel repeatedly on the highway. Also, it will make the pass toll system more organized, which will benefit everyone.
Question 6: What is the purpose of the government from this near? answer: The aim of the government and NHAI is to smooth the toll system. They want:
- The line of trains on the toll plaza is low.
- People use digital payment more.
- Fighting between toll people and drivers should end.
- The problem of those living within a radius of 60 km should be solved.
- Overall, highway travel fast, easy, and stress-free.
Question 7: Is there any deficiency or condition? answer: Right now some things are not clear, such as: If you do 200 trips before the end of the year, then have to renew the pass? Will the limit of 200 trips to each toll plaza will be uniform, or will count according to different tolls? If the state does not work on highway or private toll, its scope is slightly limited. But NHAI will soon clear these details.

What is Fastag?
Fastag is an electronic sticker. It has a radio frequency identification (RFID) chip. It is pasted on the windscreen of the car.
It is attached to the driver’s bank account or fastag wallet. With the help of fastag, the toll fee without stopping is paid at the toll plaza. This saves time and fuel (fuel).
