Harshvardhan Rane and Sonam Bajwa’s romantic drama ‘Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat’ is turning out to be a surprise hit at the box office. Despite mixed reviews from critics and a tough clash with Ayushmann Khurrana and Rashmika Mandanna’s ‘Thamma’, the Milap Zaveri directorial has managed to connect with audiences and recently surpassed the lifetime collection of Anurag Basu’s ‘Metro In Dino’.
According to trade portal Sack girlthe film entered its second week strong, earning Rs 4.5 crore on its second Tuesday, Rs 3 crore on Wednesday, and Rs 2.5 crore on Thursday. With this, its total collection stands at Rs 55 crore, overtaking ‘Metro In Dino’s lifetime domestic haul of Rs 52.61 crore.
Helmed by Milap Zaveri and produced under the Desi Movies Factory banner, ‘Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat’ follows the passionate yet dangerous love story between a powerful politician, Vikramaditya Bhonsle (Harshvardhan Rane), and a strong-willed superstar, Adaa Randhawa (Sonam Bajwa). Their intense relationship spirals into a gripping tale of obsession, pride, and heartbreak.
