US President Donald Trump on Tuesday warned Iran’s leadership that the United States knows the exact location of Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and could “take him out,” but is choosing not to — “at least not for now.”
In a series of messages on Truth Social, Trump wrote: “We know exactly where the so-called “Supreme Leader” is hiding. He is an easy target, but is safe there – We are not going to take him out (kill!), at least not for now.”
Trump further added that the US does not want missiles aimed at civilians or American soldiers and warned that “our patience is wearing thin.”
Full Control Over Iran’s Skies
In another post on the platform, the US President claimed that “we” have control of the skies over Iran.
“We now have complete and total control of the skies over Iran. Iran had good sky trackers and other defensive equipment, and plenty of it, but it doesn’t compare to American made, conceived, and manufactured “stuff.” Nobody does it better than the good ol’ USA,” he wrote.
In a follow-up post, Trump also demanded Tehran’s “UNCONDITIONAL SURRENDER!”
‘Real End, Not A Ceasefire’
Earlier today, Trump told reporters aboard Air Force One that he was aiming for a “real end” to the conflict between arch-rivals Israel and Iran — and not just a temporary ceasefire — after five days of back-and-forth strikes.
“I’m not looking for a ceasefire, we’re looking at better than a ceasefire,” he said while returning from the G7 summit in Canada.
“An end, a real end, not a ceasefire,” Trump said, adding he wanted a “complete give-up” by Iran.
The president also warned Iran against targeting US soldiers or assets in the region, saying: “We’ll come down so hard, it’d be gloves off.”
Trump left the G7 summit a day early, as Israel and Iran continued to trade heavy strikes. Israeli forces have launched repeated attacks on Iranian military and nuclear targets, while Iran has responded with missile barrages. The conflict has now entered its fifth day.
Though Trump has declined to confirm if the US would join Israeli military operations, he has maintained that Washington was not involved in the initial strikes. The White House has said US forces remain in a defensive posture.
