A motorist who was driving on wrong lane assaulted another four-wheeler driver after he confronted him for violating traffic rules on a busy road in Lucknow.
Following which, the traffic violator stopped his vehicle, got down and slapped the car driver who was coming from the opposite direction. The incident is said to have taken place on Saturday.
According to media reports, the aggressor has been identified as police officer and the man he assaulted an Army colonel. The incident was caught on camera. The CCTV video of the assault has gone viral.

In the viral video, the accused can be seen driving his vehicle near the road divider, in the opposite direction, leading to traffic congestion in the area. Beside his vehicle, two two-wheelers were also seen, waiting to make their way through the jam.
Reports claimed, as soon as the Army colonel, Anand Prakash Suman, saw the policeman, Vinay Kumar Saroj, driving in opposite direction and disrupting traffic movement, he confronted him only to get slapped by him in front of his wife and daughter after heated argument. The colonel also alleged that the accused also tried to crush him between both the vehicles and ran over his left foot before fleeing.
The same day, the Colonel filed a case against the inspector. In his statement to police, the Army man alleged that he was thrashed in front of his wife and daughter. He added that the inspector slapped him when he questioned him for driving his car on the wrong side. The Army man is posted as Colonel in the NCC Directorate in Patna.
