Crystal Palace striker Jean-Philippe Mateta saw his penalty against Manchester United at Selhurst Park in the Premier League engagement between the sides on Sunday disallowed for a double-touch, before the Frenchman went on to net the re-take the spot kick.

Mateta put it past Senne Lammens from a spot kick, but was asked to retake the penalty due to a double-touch. However, he made amends by slotting the ball into the net on the second time of asking too.
Palace took the lead into the halftime break before United managed to level the proceedings with Joshua Zirkzee’s strike after he latched on to a freekick delivered in by Bruno Fernandes.
Mason Mount’s strike helped United turn the game around as the former Chelsea man’s goal three minutes after the hour mark gave Ruben Amorim’s men the lead.
