CUET UG 2026: The NTA had earlier allowed students to change their date and shift, but now, due to logistic and operational challenges, only changes in exam state/city are allowed.

CUET AND 2026: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has opened the CUET UG 2026 centre re-allotment window. Candidates who have been allotted an exam city different from their preferred choice can request a change in exam state, and city by visiting the official website. As per the official notification, this facility will remain available until 11:50 pm on May 7, 2026.
The NTA had earlier stated that students could also change their date and shift; however, they have now informed that due to logistic and operational challenges, only changes in the examination state and city will be allowed.
“Candidates who have already submitted requests for change of their allotted examination city/date/shift are also hereby informed that due to unavoidable logistics reasons, only the change of examination state/city shall be considered. Requests submitted for change in the examination date & shift will not be entertained, and the originally allotted schedule (i.e. date of exam/shift) shall remain unchanged,” reads the official notice.
The CUET UG 2026 exam will be conducted in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode from May 11 to May 31. Candidates are advised to complete the change process within the given deadline.

How To Change CUET UG Exam City And State?
Candidates can follow the steps below to change the allotted exam city, district or state and shift:
1. Visit the official CUET UG website at cuet.nta.nic.in.
2. In the ‘Latest News’ section, click on the link ‘Selection of Revised Exam State/City’.
3. Log in using the required application credentials.
4. Select your preferred exam city, date or shift based on availability.
5. Review all the details carefully before submitting.
6. Submit the request and save a copy for future reference.
Re-allotment is available for candidates who have been allotted an exam city different from their chosen preference. Candidates can request a change in their exam state, and city, subject to the availability of slots for their subject combination.
The CUET UG city intimation slip was released on April 29, 2026. Students who are satisfied with their allotted exam details do not need to make any changes. Due to limited availability, seats at revised exam centres will be allotted on a first-come, first-served basis. Candidates who successfully change their choice will receive a new admit card at a later date. Those who do not use the re-allotment facility within the specified timeframe will be required to appear for the exam in the previously allotted city, date, and shift.
