Cristiano Ronaldo reached another remarkable milestone in his legendary career by scoring his 100th Saudi Pro League goal in Al-Nassr’s 4-2 victory over Al-Shabab on Thursday.

The 41-year-old striker found the net in the 75th minute, finishing clinically from close range after connecting with a cross from Sadio Mane. The goal not only secured an important win for Al-Nassr but also marked the 971st goal of Ronaldo’s extraordinary career and his 26th league strike of the current campaign.

“Ronaldo is always dangerous going forward and we saw that again today,” Al-Nassr coach Jorge Jesus said.

Cristiano Ronaldo Goals Record In SPL

  • 2022-23 season: 14 goals in 16 games.
  • 2023-24 season: 35 goals in 31 games and Golden Boot winner.
  • 2024-25 season: 25 goals in 30 games and Golden Boot winner.
  • 2025-26 season: 26 goals in 27 games (campaign ongoing).

The victory moved Al-Nassr five points clear at the top of the Saudi Pro League table with only a handful of matches remaining. However, title rivals Al-Hilal still have games in hand, setting up a potentially decisive Riyadh derby next week.

“Now we have a derby match against our rival, which is a difficult encounter,” Jesus said. “We are fully aware of its importance, and we are dealing with it with complete focus as we know that small details could decide the result.”

Ronaldo’s latest achievement further strengthens his incredible scoring legacy. He has now become the first player in football history to score 100 league goals in three different domestic competitions. Before reaching the milestone in Saudi Arabia, he had already surpassed the century mark in both La Liga with Real Madrid and the Premier League with Manchester United.

Messi Not A Match

Meanwhile, comparisons with long-time rival Lionel Messi have resurfaced once again. Messi scored 474 La Liga goals for Barcelona and currently has 58 MLS goals for Inter Miami, leaving him still short of a second 100-goal league milestone.

Despite Ronaldo’s remarkable numbers since arriving in Saudi Arabia in December 2022, the five-time Ballon d’Or winner is still chasing his first major trophy with Al-Nassr.
