The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has given schools another opportunity to correct errors in the List of Candidates (LOC) submitted for the Class 10 and Class 12 Board Examinations 2027. The correction window opened on November 2 and will remain available until November 7, 2026.

The board has asked schools to carefully check students’ details and make corrections, wherever required, within the given period. The facility is intended to ensure that the information submitted for the board examinations is accurate.

In a circular dated November 2, 2026, CBSE said that schools would receive a data verification slip for each candidate after submitting the LOC. If any error is found in a student’s name, parents’ or guardian’s name, date of birth or subjects offered, the correction can be made during the designated window.

The correction facility is for both Class 10 and Class 12 students appearing for the 2027 board examinations. Students and parents should contact their respective schools to check the submitted information and report any mistakes.

CBSE LOC Correction 2026-27: Which Details Should Be Checked?

CBSE has asked parents to carefully verify the personal and academic details submitted by schools. These include:

– Student’s full name

– Father’s name

– Mother’s name

– Guardian’s name, wherever applicable

– Date of birth

– Subjects selected for the board examination

The board has also issued specific instructions regarding the information entered in the LOC.

It has asked schools to enter students’ full names instead of using initials or shortened names. Parents should ensure that the surname is included, particularly if their child plans to study abroad, as several countries require full names in official documents.

The date of birth should also be checked carefully. If a passport has been issued to the student, parents should verify that the details submitted to CBSE match the passport.

Students and parents should pay particular attention to subject selection. CBSE has said that no changes in subjects will be accepted after the correction window closes.

The board has asked schools to inform students and parents about the facility and ensure that any required corrections are submitted within the deadline. The board said the exercise would help ensure accurate student records and support the smooth conduct of the 2027 board examinations.
