CBSE CTET Result 2026: The wait for more than 25 lakh candidates who appeared for the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) 2026 is about to end. The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will soon release the CTET Result 2026 on the official website, ctet.nic.in. The CTET result is the first step towards fulfilling the dream of becoming a teacher in Kendriya Vidyalayas (KVS), Navodaya Vidyalayas (NVS), and other government schools. The board is currently finalising the result after reviewing the objections submitted against the CTET answer key.

This year, there is considerable discussion about the CTET exam on social media and in academic circles. The pass percentage is expected to be higher than in previous years. Separate cut-offs and qualifying marks have been set for both CTET papers. General category candidates must score at least 60%, while reserved category candidates receive relaxation in qualifying marks.

When Will CBSE CTET Result 2026 Be Declared?

Based on previous trends, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) usually declares CTET results within four to six weeks of the exam. The CTET 2026 results are likely to be announced in the last week of March or the first week of April. However, the board has not yet officially confirmed the exact date. All updates regarding the CBSE CTET Result 2026 will be provided on the official website, ctet.nic.in.

How To Check CBSE CTET Result?

Once the CBSE CTET 2026 result is declared, candidates can check their scorecard by following these steps:

CTET Qualifying Marks and Cut-Off

CBSE has prescribed the following qualifying criteria for the CTET exam:

General Category: A minimum of 90 marks (60%) out of 150 is required.

Reserved Category (OBC/SC/ST): A minimum of 82 marks out of 150 (55%) is required.

Keep in mind that CTET is only an eligibility test and does not directly guarantee a job. However, without the CTET certificate, you cannot apply for government teacher recruitment.

CTET Certificate Validity

One of the biggest advantages for candidates is that the CTET certificate is now valid for a lifetime. This means that once you qualify the CTET exam, you do not need to appear again unless you wish to improve your score. Earlier, the CTET certificate was valid only for a limited number of years.

What To Do After CBSE CTET Result?

Candidates who qualify CTET 2026 will be able to download their marksheet and eligibility certificate from DigiLocker (digilocker.gov.in). This digitally signed document is valid across all institutions. After this, candidates can start preparing for upcoming teacher recruitment exams such as DSSSB, Kendriya Vidyalaya teacher recruitment, and other state-level teacher recruitment examinations.
