In the third quarter (October-December) of FY 2024-25, BSNL made a profit of Rs 262 crore.
Government of India company BSNL has received a net profit of Rs 280 crore in the fourth quarter of FY 2024-25. The company had a loss of Rs 849 crore in the same quarter of last year.
Union Telecom Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia said that this is the second consecutive time in 18 years after 2007, when the company has profit in a quarter.
Earlier, the company had made a profit of Rs 262 crore in the third quarter (October-December) of the last quarter i.e. FY 2024-25. BSNL has released the January-March quarter and annual results on Tuesday (May 27) on Tuesday (27 May).
Net loss of ₹ 2,247 crore in the entire financial year 2024-25
Jyotiraditya Scindia said that in the entire financial year 2024-25, the net loss of BSNL declined to ₹ 2,247 crore. In the financial year 2023-24, the company had a loss of Rs 5,370 crore.
The company’s revenue increased by 7.8% to Rs 20,841 crore in FY 25
In FY 2024-25, the company’s operation increased by 7.8% to Rs 20,841 crore from the operation of the company. The company’s revenue was Rs 19,330 crore in FY 2023-24.

BSNL’s mobility revenue increased by 6% to Rs 7,499 crore
Scindia said that despite a capex of Rs 24,432 crore in FY 2025, the total revenue increased by about 10% to Rs 23,400 crore, which is the largest amount in any financial year.
During the financial year 2025, BSNL’s mobility revenue rose by 6% to Rs 7,499 crore. Fiber-to-the-Hom (FTTH) revenue increased by 10% to Rs 2,923 crore. At the same time, the leased line including the enterprise segment topline increased by 3.5% to Rs 4,096 crore.
Scindia said- 93,450 towers started for 4G services
Scindia said that 4G of BSNL is now active and all towers need to be synchronized. He said that 93,450 towers have been introduced for 4G services and the company’s asset monetization has increased by 77% to ₹ 1,120 crore in FY25.
BSNL chairman and managing director A Robert J Ravi said, “This is a proof of continuous focus on both fast growth professional management, government support and bottom-top line.” The company is not only being revived, but is also being redisted.
Ravi said that BSNL with cost control and 4G/5G deployment is confident of maintaining this development path and providing cheap and high quality connectivity to every Indian.
