In its second press statement, issued at 10:45 am, Warsaw-Modlin Airport said passengers had begun disembarking from the aircraft and would wait in the airport’s arrivals hall after leaving the plane.
“Further activities are being carried out in accordance with security procedures,” the airport said, adding that it was not providing additional details about the ongoing operation.
The airport reiterated that it remained closed until further notice and said it would issue further updates as the situation developed.
The unscheduled landing followed a bomb threat alert aboard the London-origin flight, according to reports by Al Arabiya. The airport’s statement did not identify the airline or flight number, nor did it confirm whether an explosive device had been found.
