Voting continues today for 29 Municipal Corporations of Maharashtra and Mumbai BMC. Singer and music composer Vishal Dadlani also cast his vote in the BMC elections. During this, he spoke to the media and expressed his displeasure over the absence of public at the polling booth. Outside the polling booth, a journalist asked Vishal about his expectations regarding this election. In response, Vishal says – “Given the condition of our city in the last few days, I wish that it should get better. When the journalist asked what he would like to say to the young voters? On this, Vishal said – “I have stopped saying, whoever wants to come, come. It’s your country, your city, your responsibility. If you can handle it, handle it… otherwise sit at home, do whatever you are doing.” Then Vishal, pointing towards the empty road behind him at the polling booth, said – “This is what I can see. There is no trace of the public here. There are more officers inside, less public. This is such a shameful thing. Every Indian should feel pain after seeing this. If we do not manage our country and do not take responsibility for it, then whatever is happening will continue to happen. What are Vishal’s expectations from the winning candidate? On this he said that he wants whoever wins to work first on air, water and basic needs. Humans need clean air and water to survive. This is Mumbai, the economic center of the country. If things do not go well here, what will be the situation in the rest of the country? Mumbai is our show piece to the world. People come from outside to see what a big Indian city would be like. When they come here and see the shortcomings, it is a very shameful thing.
