He developed an automatic system of water floodgates that was first installed at the Khadakwasla Reservoir near Pune. He was also associated with major infrastructure and flood-protection initiatives, including the Krishna Raja Sagara Dam and projects linked to Hyderabad’s flood management and the protection of Visakhapatnam Port.
His contributions went beyond engineering. During his tenure as the Diwan of Mysore, he supported industrial and institutional development and played a major role in the state’s modernisation.
