Bajaj Auto has discontinued its Pulsar N125 bike in India. This bike, launched in October 2024, could not even complete two years in the Indian market. The company has stopped its supply to the dealers of the country.
Due to low sales the company decided to remove it from the Indian market. Bajaj Auto has a history that the company discontinues the bikes which are not sold in sufficient numbers. Pulsar N125 is a new example of this. However, the bike is still visible on Bajaj’s Indian website.
The bike was built on a completely new platform
- The Pulsar N125 was not just a new variant, but it was built on a completely new platform. This platform was not shared with any other Pulsar bike.
- It was given a new engine and a completely new chassis, which helped in keeping the curb weight of the bike to just 125 kg.
- Along with this, the company had introduced a completely new styling in it, which was quite different from other bikes present in the market.
Didn’t like the strange look and design
Indian customers did not like the thin and stretched look of this bike. In comparison, other bikes present in the market like Hero Extreme 125R and Honda CB125 Hornet are quite popular.
These bikes look bigger and sportier than their actual capacity, which attracts customers.

Features like TFT display and ABS were lacking
Limited features in Pulsar N125 also became a major reason for its closure. Many such features were not present in this bike, which are found in its competitors.
For example, customers did not get the facility of TFT display and ABS (Anti-Lock Braking System) in this bike.
The bike will continue to be sold in foreign markets
Despite being discontinued in India, the journey of Pulsar N125 is not completely over. The company will continue to sell this bike in many foreign markets. These include countries like Nepal, Peru, Colombia and Morocco.
However, it is not yet clear whether this bike or its platform will make a comeback in India in the future with a changed look and more features.
What is TFT display and ABS?
- TFT Display: It has a high-resolution and colorful display, similar to a smartphone screen, which shows the bike’s speed, trip meter and other important information in a clear and modern manner.
- ABS (Anti-Lock Braking System): This is a safety feature that prevents the wheels of the bike from locking when sudden braking is applied. Due to this, the bike does not slip even at high speed and the rider remains in control.
