Air India Ahmedabad-London Flight Crash Live Reactions: An Air India flight reportedly crashed near Ahmedabad Airport on Thursday afternoon soon after take-off. Casualties are feared though there is no confirmation on the same yet. The aircraft crashed in Meghaninagar area of Ahmedabad, police said.
The plane crashed soon after taking off from Ahmedabad International Airport around 2 pm.
“Flight AI171, operating Ahmedabad-London Gatwick, was involved in an incident today, 12 June 2025. At this moment, we are ascertaining the details and will share further updates at the earliest on http://airindia.com and on our X handle,” Air India posted on X.
Former India cricketer and Member of Parliament Yusuf Pathan has expressed his shock at the incident and said he’s praying for the safety of the passengers and the crew.
“Very shocked to hear about the #AirIndia Ahmedabad-London flight incident near Ahmedabad airport. Praying for the safety of all passengers and crew,” Pathan wrote on X.
