The Amrita Entrance Examination – Engineering (AEEE) 2027 will be conducted between April 15 and May 7, 2027. It is a national-level computer-based entrance exam conducted for admission to B.Tech programmes at Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham. Students appearing for Class 12 or an equivalent examination in 2027 can apply, subject to the prescribed eligibility criteria.
The admission process includes registration, slot booking, downloading the admit card, appearing for AEEE and participating in the Centralised Seat Allotment Process (CSAP) based on the candidate’s performance. The application process will commence in November. Those interested will be able to apply on the official website at aeee.amrita.edu.
AEEE 2027 Eligibility Criteria
For the academic qualification, candidates are required to pass Class 12 or an equivalent examination with the prescribed marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. A minimum 55% aggregate in PCM, with at least 50% in each of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics is required to apply for the exam.
Candidates appearing for recognised Class 12-equivalent exams can also apply, including examinations conducted by recognised Central or State Boards such as CBSE and CISCE. Eligible equivalent qualifications also include recognised Intermediate or two-year Pre-University examinations, GCE Advanced Level examinations, Cambridge qualifications, International Baccalaureate Diploma and the Senior Secondary School Examination conducted by NIOS, subject to Amrita’s eligibility rules.
AEEE 2027 Exam Pattern
AEEE is conducted as a computer-based test (CBT) in English. The examination has a duration of 150 minutes, or 2.5 hours, and is conducted at test centres across more than 100 cities. The question paper will have 100 multiple-choice questions covering Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Quantitative Aptitude and English. Each correct answer carries three marks, while one mark is deducted for every incorrect answer.
Admission to B.Tech programmes offered at Amrita School of Engineering – Amritapuri, Bengaluru, Chennai, Coimbatore, Amaravati, Mysore, Nagercoil is based on the rank obtained in Amrita Entrance Exam – Engineering or JEE Main or SAT (Scholastic Assessment Test) or Pearson UG Engineering Entrance Exam Score (PUEEE).
