Actor and self-proclaimed film critic Kamaal R Khan, also known as KRK, was detained by Mumbai police on Friday for firing four rounds of bullets at a residential building in Oshiwara Andheri on January 18.

The actor was detained following questioning by a Mumbai Police team, during which he admitted that the firing was done with his licenced gun. The police have recovered the gun that was used in the firing.

The actor told the police during the questioning that his intention was not to hurt anyone. He further said that he was just cleaning his gun and after cleaning, he fired the gun into a large mangrove forest in front of his house to check the functionality, as he considered the area facing his house was suitable for such a test.

The actor further told the police that he assumed that the bullet would be lost in the mangrove forest, but there was wind when he fired the shot, because of which the bullet travelled a bit further and struck a building in Oshiwara.
