Accused Rajeshbhai had done Reiki at the residence of CM Rekha Gupta at Shalimar Bagh before the attack. On August 19, the accused was shown in the CCTV cameras installed in the CM’s residence. In the CCTV footage, he was seen talking to someone on the phone. Then the phone was constantly seen recording outside the CM residence.
In another CCTV footage, he appeared sitting inside the office of the Chief Minister’s private residence and recording the video. Sources said that two videos of the public hearing program have also been found from the mobile phone of the accused.
In the viral video on social media, Khimjibhai was seen making a video of CM residence.
During this time, the accused also appeared to enter a house there.

BJP shared photo of accused with AAP MLA The Delhi CM office described this attack as part of the planned conspiracy to kill the Chief Minister. At the same time, BJP MLA Harish Khurana has claimed to be involved in the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) in the incident. He shared a photo of the accused with AAP MLA Gopal Italia of Gujarat on X.
The Gujarat unit of AAP described the photo as edited and alleged that the BJP tampered with Gopal Italia’s photo using AI. Italia said that she was edited by taking screenshots from an old video of her. He also shared a link to the video.
