Efforts to rescue Chetna (3) from Kotputli are now failing. The administration’s repeatedly changing plans and now the rain almost stalled the rescue operation. Officials now claim every day that the teams will descend today, but by evening the decision gets postponed to the next day.
.
Now the families and villagers have also started blaming the administration. Chetna’s uncle Shubharam said on Saturday that the officers do not respond. If you ask more, they say – Collector Ma’am will tell, she is sleeping right now. The girl’s mother Dholi Devi has once again appealed to the administration to take her daughter out.
With folded hands, Chetna’s mother has appealed to the administration to expel her for God’s sake.
Teams failed even after 114 hours
To take out Chetna, a pit of about 170 feet parallel to the borewell was dug using a piling machine two days ago. It is being told that rat miners will enter this pit through a pipe. After this, they will dig a 20 feet tunnel from the pit to the borewell, but till now they have not been able to move ahead with this plan.
Actually, Chetna of Dhani of Badiyali of Kiratpura was trapped at 150 feet in a 700 feet deep borewell on Monday (23 December). The rescue teams could bring him up only 30 feet with the help of indigenous jugaad. The innocent girl has been hungry and thirsty for about 114 hours and is not doing any movement for the last four days.

Rain increased difficulties in rescue operation
NDRF in-charge Yogesh Kumar Meena said – Due to rain since Thursday night, rescue operations have to be stopped again and again. We were welding the 5 pipes that we have put inside, but due to the rain, we are facing problems. So far 5 pipes have been welded.
With this, the weight of the pipe is very high, the earlier machine was not able to bear the weight. We had to order a Hydra machine of 100 ton capacity. Once the welding work is completed. Only after this the team will descend and excavation will be started. This may also take time.
Now see the photos related to the rescue…
