Simran Singh, an Instagram influencer who hailed from Jammu, was found dead in her apartment in Gurugram, the police said.

An Instagram influencer and freelance radio jockey from Jammu and Kashmir was found dead in a rented accommodation in Haryana’s Gurugram, the police said on Thursday.
The police suspect it to be a case of suicide. Her body was found hanging in her room on Wednesday night. The police, however, said that no suicide note was found on the spot.
The influencer was identified as Simran Singh, 25, who has around seven lakh followers on Instagram and is known by her fans as RJ Simran. She had last posted a reel on social media on December 13, with the caption, “Just a girl with endless giggles and her gown, taking over the beach”.
How Did The Incident Come To Fore?
She was found dead in her apartment in Sector 47, Gurugram, the police said, adding that her friend who stayed with her informed the police regarding the incident.
The police had received the information at 10.30 pm from Park Hospital regarding the body.
Investigating officer, ASI Pradeep Kumar, Sadar Police Station, Gurugram, said that the family told the police Simran had been facing problems for some time “due to which she took this step” and they did not hold anybody responsible for the incident.
“Based on a written complaint from the family members, action was taken and the post-mortem was done on Thursday morning. The body has been handed over to the family members. No case was registered,” the official said.
Simran, who hailed from the Jammu region, was known as “Jammu Ki Dhadkan” by her fans.
