The traffic movement along the Delhi-Noida border, Noida-Greater Noida Expressway and Yamuna Expressway resumed today evening after agitating farmers, gathered for a “Delhi Chalo” march, agreed to pause the protest and vacated the site following discussions with the Gautam Buddh Nagar administration.
Heavy traffic jams and heightened security were seen on the Delhi-Uttar Pradesh border after members of the farmer organisation began their march from Noida and Greater Noida towards the national capital on Monday.
The march was announced on Sunday by BKP leader Sukhbir Khalifa, who said that the farmers are demanding compensation and benefits under the new agricultural laws.
