Imran Khan’s party Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has ended its protests. According to Pakistani website The Dawn, the party announced this on Wednesday morning. PTI said that any further decision will be taken on the advice of Imran Khan.
PTI said in a press release, ‘The government is ready to brutally kill unarmed civilians. To prevent Islamabad from becoming a slaughterhouse, they are temporarily suspending their peaceful protests.
Imran Khan’s wife Bushra Bibi and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa CM Ali Amin were leading the Gandapur demonstration. According to the report, Gandapur had asked the protesters to go home late on Tuesday night. Home Minister Mohsin Naqvi said in a press conference that both of them had fled fearing arrest.

Minister Tarar said – there was a plan to attack the Parliament House Dawn has quoted sources as saying that Gandapur and Bushra Bibi then left the protest and have not been heard from since then. Pakistan’s Information Minister Ata Tarar claimed that both have returned to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Tarar alleged that PTI had planned to attack Parliament as well. He said that for this reason he set the container on fire while running away. Before escaping they were living in this container. They did not want the security personnel to get hold of evidence related to the demonstration after their departure.
Protests started in Pakistan on 24 November regarding the release of Imran Khan. At least 7 people lost their lives in the protests that took place over 3 days. These include 4 protesters and 3 policemen. Security personnel have also arrested more than 500 protesters.

PTI supporters clashed with security personnel in the federal capital throughout the day on Tuesday. More than 60 people were injured during the clash as tear gas and rubber bullets were used by both sides. To deal with the violence, Section 245 was imposed in the capital Islamabad. Orders were given to shoot the protesters at sight.
Case registered against Imran in case of policeman’s death Taxila police on Tuesday registered a case against Imran Khan and CM Gandapur in connection with the death of a police constable on Monday. The FIR states that protesters armed with tear gas, rubber bullet guns and other weapons violently attacked police officers.
According to the FIR, people associated with PTI injured constable Mubashir Hasan and abducted him in a red van. After this he was thrown under Hakala Bridge. Constable Hasan was taken to hospital, but he died.
