Coal India Limited (CIL) has announced a vacancy for 649 Management Trainee posts in various engineering fields with selection based on GATE 2024 score. As per the official information, the organisation will start accepting applications tomorrow, October 29 and the deadline to submit the form is November 28. Eligible candidates can apply for the positions on the official website of Coal India Limited at coalindia.in.
This recruitment drive aims to fill a total of 640 vacancies including 263 vacancies for Mining Engineering, 91 for Civil Engineering, 102 for Electrical Engineering, 104 for Mechanical Engineering, 41 for System Engineering and 39 for Electronics and Communication.

Candidates applying for the recruitment process must have completed or should be in the final year of the B.Tech/BE Programme.
They must possess valid GATE 2024 scores.

Candidates belonging to the General / OBC (Creamy Layer & Non-Creamy Layer) / EWS categories need to pay a Non-Refundable application fee of Rs 1,180 including GST, while, the SC / ST / PwBD / Employees of Coal India Limited and its Subsidiaries are exempted from paying the fee.

Coal India MT Recruitment 2024: Selection Process
The selection for Management Trainee roles in different engineering disciplines is based on the candidate’s score in the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2024. The Coal India Limited will compile a merit list by discipline and category based on GATE scores. Shortlisted individuals will undergo a medical examination.
Coal India MT Recruitment 2024: Pay Scale
Shortlisted candidates will be recruited on a one-year probation period at the E-2 Grade for Management trainees, with a monthly salary between Rs 50,000 to Rs 1,60,000. After completing the probation period, candidates are promoted to the E-3 grade, which offers a monthly salary ranging from Rs 60,000 to Rs 1,80,000 and includes extra perks such as Dearness Allowance, HRA, Medical Facilities, Performance-Related Pay and Gratuity.
