The flood situation in Saran district of Bihar is becoming increasingly serious. The rising water level of Gandak river has affected life in many areas. National Highway-722 (NH-722) connecting Chhapra and Muzaffarpur is filled with knee-deep water. Due to accumulation of water on the road, vehicular movement is being affected and people are facing huge difficulties in commuting.
