NEET UG 2026 Round 2 Seat Allotment Out: Candidates who have been allotted a seat should report to the allotted college and complete the admission process next.

The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has released the provisional NEET UG 2026 Round 2 seat allotment result 2026. The final seat allotment result will be out today. Candidates who participated in Round 2 can check their allotment through the official MCC NEET UG counselling portal at mcc.nic.in. The MCC website has also published the Round 2 clear vacancy list, virtual vacancy list and newly added seats for MBBS, BDS and BSc Nursing.
The Round 2 allotment document contains candidate-wise details, including the institute and course allotted, category and whether a candidate has retained a previous seat or received a fresh allotment.
What should candidates do after Round 2 allotment?
The next step depends on the seat allotted to the candidate.
Candidates who have been allotted a seat in Round 2 should report to the allotted college and complete the admission process within the prescribed deadline. According to the MCC’s revised Round 2 schedule, the last date for joining is September 18, 2026.
Those who have been selected have to next visit the allotted college for reporting, document verification, fee payment and completion of remaining admission formalities. Candidates who receive an upgraded seat need to follow the admission instructions applicable to the newly allotted seat.
The Round 2 allotment result also contains cases where candidates who had already reported in Round 1 retained their earlier seats because they did not opt for upgradation. The allotment document records such candidates as having “Did not opt for Upgradation.”
Candidates whose category or quota has changed within the same institution and course also need to follow the specific MCC instructions. The Round 2 result notice says such candidates are required to obtain the relevant online-generated relieving letter and complete admission against the changed category or quota; a fresh admission letter is required.
Candidates who do not receive the seat they want should first check the clear vacancy and virtual vacancy lists published by MCC. The counselling authority has separately listed these vacancies for Round 2.
The UG academic session will commence on September 15, 2026.
Candidates should keep their original admission and eligibility documents ready for reporting at the allotted college. These can include the NEET UG admit card and scorecard, Class 10 and 12 certificates and mark sheets, identity proof, category or EWS certificate where applicable, migration/transfer documents where required, and other documents specified by the allotted institution or MCC.
