PM Modi said that when this group was started in 2006, there were only 4 countries in it. Today we are a family of 21 countries including BRICS and its partners. Today 50 percent of the world’s population and 25 percent of the world’s trade are in these countries. Our economic growth has increased twice the speed of the world. From grassroots to frontier technology, new possibilities for innovation are taking shape in our countries. The increasing scale, speed and optimism of BRICS is clearly visible among us. This forum is the largest BRICS business forum ever organized in India.
