In fact, on July 1, a video of the day-care center located at the HAL campus of Bengaluru-based IT company Capgemini was revealed. In which children were locked in the toilet. Water was poured on the face with jet spray and it was put in the washing machine. The police had earlier registered a case against five female caregivers in the matter. One has been arrested. DCP Saidulu Adavath said that the children coming to the day care belong to the professionals working on the campus, whom their parents used to leave here while on duty. Both parents and officials were shocked after seeing the video. The way the children were treated is extremely serious. Police are also investigating whether the day-care center was being operated directly by Capgemini or the responsibility was given to an external agency on the company premises. Karnataka State Commission for Protection of Child Rights has also taken cognizance of the matter. The commission will seek reports from the officials and investigate at its own level. HAL campus probation officer Tilkesh Kumar said officials had long suspected child abuse at the daycare, but only found evidence this week after some disturbing videos emerged. The company closed the day-care center. Capgemini said that the safety of its employees and their families is its top priority. The company is fully cooperating with the investigating agencies. As a precautionary measure, the on-campus day-care center in Bengaluru has been temporarily closed. Capgemini has offices in 8 cities across the country. Also complain against the center to the local child protection officer or child welfare committee. Contact a lawyer to get legal help and also get the children medically examined. How to Regularly Monitor the Day Care Center Parents should make surprise visits to the day care from time to time to see the real environment there. Talk to the child lovingly and ask how his day was, who he played with and what he ate. Get information from the staff about changes in daily routine, eating habits and behaviour.
