Judicial Magistrate (First Class) has sent both the accused to judicial custody till July 16.
Pune’s Vadgaon court on Friday sent Siya Goyal and Chetan Chaudhary, accused in the murder of Ketan Aggarwal, to judicial custody for 14 days. Both will be kept in Yerwada jail of Pune. The police had demanded to extend the custody of both, but the court rejected it.
During their appearance in the court, Sia and Chetan had clearly refused to undergo narco (polygraph) test. However, one day Sia’s lawyer said that Sia had agreed to the polygraph test.
Vadgaon Court Judge AM Vibhute said that this test cannot be done without the consent of the accused, hence now their Narco test will not be done.
Siya and Chetan are accused of pushing Ketan to death from Lohgarh Fort in Pune on June 18. Ketan and Sia’s marriage was to take place in November this year.

Accused Chetan Chaudhary has told the police the entire incident of the day of the incident.
Chetan and Siya used to chat in codeword, another mobile seized
Police investigation has revealed that Siya and Chetan had used ‘code words’ to communicate while planning the murder. Police have recovered huge data deleted from the mobile phones of the accused and will take the help of experts to decode the sign language used in it.
The chats of both have coded language, which includes nicknames and emojis, the meaning of which can only be explained by the accused. Police seized another mobile from Sia’s house on Friday. Which was kept hidden. It has been sent to Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) for investigation.
Suspicion of involvement of a third person in the murder
A new revelation has come to light in the Ketan Aggarwal murder case of Pune. According to sources, the police have detained a youth from Beed. This young man works in a company in Balewadi.
It is claimed that the third person is a friend of either Siya or Ketan. Both of them had shared the planning of Ketan’s murder with him. However, the name of the youth has not been revealed yet. Police can also make the youth a witness.
The picture is from November 2025. Then Siya and Ketan Aggarwal got engaged. Sia had also clicked a picture showing the ring worn by Ketan.
From planning to murder, the incident took place in 19 days.
- 31 May: Sia came up with a plan to murder Ketan: After the engagement on 11th February, Ketan used to bring Siya home and take her for outings. He was fond of trekking i.e. hill climbing. He asked Siya to go to Lohgarh Fort for trekking. It was here that Siya came up with the plan to murder Ketan.
- June 5: Insisted on going to the fort, Ketan did not go: Siya insisted Ketan to go to Lohgarh Fort again on 4th June. Ketan did not agree. On June 6, tickets for Ketan, his sister, a friend and Sia were booked to go to Bali, Indonesia. According to Pune Police, Siya hid Ketan’s passport to avoid going to Bali.
- June 14: Second attempt, pushed, but Ketan survives: Siya asked Ketan to go to the fort again. According to the police, both of them reached Lohgarh on June 14. Siya pushed Ketan. But Ketan was saved due to the support of a tree. He asked- Why did you push? Siya said, ‘There was a snake, I pushed you to save you from it.’ Ketan came home and told everyone that his life was saved because of Sia.
- June 18: Pushed with boyfriend in third attempt: To celebrate Sia’s birthday on June 19, Ketan had booked a luxury resort in Mahabaleshwar. Before that, Sia convinced Ketan to go to Lohgarh Fort by talking about pre-wedding photoshoot. This time Chetan was also following behind. At one place, when Ketan was looking towards the hills, both of them pushed him from behind.
