Anshul Kuncha, 28, from Telangana was shot dead in Philadelphia, America. The family alleges that Anshul was called to a deserted place by giving a fake pizza order and was ambushed there. Anshul Kuncha used to work in a multinational company. For extra income, he also did part-time pizza delivery work on weekends. On Saturday night he received an order, under which he had to deliver pizza to a deserted area of Philadelphia. According to the family, as soon as they reached there, an unknown assailant shot Anshul several times in the head and fled from the spot. Anshul’s sister said – The delivery order was a trap. Anshul’s sister Tanvi Kuncha alleged that this delivery order was just a trap. He said that there was no customer present there and Anshul was called only to target him. The family says that the attackers did not even take any of Anshul’s belongings. In such a situation, the reason behind the murder is still not clear. According to reports, two masked men carrying bags were seen in the area at the time of the incident. The family has appealed to the Indian and American authorities to send Anshul’s body to India soon so that the last rites are not delayed. Tanvi said that the authorities have informed that the body will be handed over on Monday, but the family wants the process to be completed soon. Expressing grief over the incident, the Indian Consulate in New York said that it is in touch with the local authorities and Anshul’s family and is providing all possible help. Three empty cartridges were recovered from the spot. Philadelphia Police Chief Inspector Scott Small said that three empty cartridges were recovered from the spot. According to him, the position of the cartridges indicated that the attackers were standing very close to the victim. Anshul’s car was also found near the spot, in which a pizza warmer was kept. According to the police, no one has been arrested yet. However, investigators have got information about the phone number from which the pizza order was placed. Officials say that this number can prove to be an important clue in the investigation of the case. Philadelphia Housing Authority surveillance cameras recorded some footage before the incident. However, the firing incident was not captured on camera. In the footage, two people are seen walking behind Anshul. Both were wearing dark colored clothes. One of these persons was also seen carrying a dark colored backpack. Had been a victim of robbery before too. The family told that Anshul had already been a victim of robbery in America. During that time his chain, mobile phone and cash were snatched away, but he was not fatally attacked then. According to the family, after completing B.Tech from Hyderabad, he went to America and studied Masters. After completing his studies, he got a job in KWC company.
