Panchkula Police busted an international cyber fraud racket by raiding a fake call center late on Monday night. This action continued till around 6 am on Tuesday morning. The cyber crime team detained 21 people from an office located in Sector-2 Market. Four of these people have been arrested as the main accused. During the raid, police recovered 19 computers, 3 laptops, Rs 11.30 lakh cash, 3 walkie-talkies, 16 handsets, 2 Wi-Fi routers, a note counting machine, 3 point of sale (POS) machines and gold jewelery from the spot. This fake call center was running from the office of Alpha Event Company located in Sector-2 Market. The accused used to target American citizens and cheat them by pretending to be officials of Amazon company. The accused will be presented in the court today. Now know how the game of fraud is going on… American citizens were targeted. Police has arrested Navdeep, Akshay Tikku, Raza and Ankur Kapoor as the main accused in the case. The accused used to commit cyber fraud on the citizens of America. For this reason, their call center also operated according to American time. The work of the call center started at around 7 pm and continued till 3 am. Used to call themselves Amazon customer care officers. Police investigation has revealed that people working in the call center used to call American citizens and call themselves customer care officers of Amazon company. During conversations, they used to trick people and obtain their credit cards and other confidential information. After this, fraud was carried out using the same information. More than 20 young men and women were hired. About 20 English speaking young men and women were hired to run this network of fraud. He was given a salary of 20 to 25 thousand rupees. Before starting the work, they were given training for a week to 10 days, so that they could easily interact with foreign citizens. RSO members and lawyers used to cover the entire network. According to police investigation, arrested lawyer Navdeep and Road Safety Organization (RSO) member Ankur Kapoor used to cover this entire network. Ankur Kapoor used to organize various programs in the name of road safety, in which many senior police officers were also invited. For this reason no one could easily suspect him.
