जोया अख्तर के ऑफिस से 66 हार्ड डिस्क चोरी: अपकमिंग फिल्मों-सीरीज समेत सेंसिटिव कंटेंट था, लीक होने का खतरा, करोड़ों का नुकसान होगा, एक गिरफ्तार

A major incident of theft has taken place in the office of Farhan Akhtar’s sister and director Zoya Akhtar, who has made many excellent films like Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara, Gully Boy and Dil Dhadakne Do. 66 hard disks were stolen from his office, which contained footage of many upcoming films and web series. After Zoya Akhtar’s complaint, the police has started investigation. At present, one accused has been arrested, while one is still absconding.

According to India TV report, the incident occurred on May 21. Some employees of the Bandra West company office of Zoya Akhtar and Reema Kagti’s production house Tiger Baby Films were looking for a hard disk to watch some footage. Even after a lot of searching, the hard disk was not found. Upon examination of the storage cabinet, it was revealed that many boxes were empty and many hard disks were broken. Later it was revealed that 66 hard disks were not there at all.

After the theft was confirmed, the company’s executive assistant and HR Mehjabeen Mushtaq Shaikh lodged a complaint at Bandra Police Station against two employees of the company, Mohammad Shahid Azim Khan and Ritesh.

Data worth crores sold for Rs 15-20 thousand

Mohammad Shahid has confessed to the charges of theft during police interrogation. According to his statement, 5 months ago he stole 24 hard disks and sold them to Ritesh, a resident of Borivali, for Rs 15-20 thousand per hard disk. Ritesh is currently absconding, police is searching for other hard disks.

Tiger Baby Films Production was started jointly by Zoya Akhtar and Reema Kagti.

According to the police complaint, there were a total of 119 hard disks in the office of the production house, out of which 66 are missing, which include high storage devices with capacity of 16-72 TB. These hard disks contain footage of the production house’s upcoming films, editing content, post production files, footage of ads.

If these footages are leaked or deleted, the production house may have to suffer a loss of crores.

According to the report, the stolen hard disk also contained the content of the production films and series Made in Heaven, Ghost Stories, Nykaa and Gandhi Money. Apart from these, some discs contained sensitive raw content.
