If you are waking up and reading this first thing in the morning, then this is probably not the news you were hoping to hear. Argentine superstar, Lionel Messi went off the field after he picked up a niggle during Inter Miami’s game against the Philadelphia Union on Monday, May 25.
The 38-year-old was seen holding onto his hamstring following which he went off the field at the 73rd minute.
As for the result, Inter Miami went on to win the game 6-4 courtesy of a hat-trick by Luis Suarez, a brace by German Berterame and a stoppage-time strike from Rodrigo de Paul to push them to second in the Eastern Conference points table.
