बिना अनुमति चिरंजीवी की तस्वीरें-वीडियो इस्तेमाल करना पड़ेगा भारी: हैदराबाद कोर्ट ने एक्टर के पर्सनैलिटी राइट्स की सुरक्षा के लिए जारी किया आदेश

The City Civil Court of Hyderabad has issued a temporary order to protect the personality and publicity rights of megastar Chiranjeevi. Under this, there has been a ban on using their names, photos, memes, fake goods or AI generated content without permission.

Chiranjeevi’s legal team has released an official note, stating that trolling the actor, morphing his photo and using AI will be a punishable offence.

Legal action has started against people misusing Chiranjeevi’s name. Many people reportedly targeted the megastar personally and launched negative campaigns against him on social media. Cases have already been registered against some of them.

According to the court order, using Chiranjeevi’s popular nicknames like Megastar, Chiru or Annayya, or his image in any creative or promotional format without prior consent is a punishable offence.

The Court considered Chiranjeevi to be one of the most iconic personalities in the Indian film industry, whose reputation and public respect has been harmed by the defendants’ actions – particularly naming, imaging, video-memes and merchandise without consent.

The order emphasizes that such exploitation and misrepresentation, especially through digital and AI medium, causes serious irreparable harm to the reputation and economic interests of Chiranjeevi.

The order has also been directed to give immediate notice to all the defendants and further proceedings have been scheduled for October 27, 2025.

On October 11, 2025, Chiranjeevi met Hyderabad Police Commissioner Sajjanar and personally handed him a copy of the court order.

Any violation of personality or publicity rights or the Defamation Act will attract serious consequences under civil and criminal laws.

All persons and entities including television channels, digital platforms and media organizations are expressly warned that any direct or indirect use, misrepresentation or distortion of Chiranjeevi’s name, image, voice, likeness or personality attributes for the purpose of increasing viewership, increasing TRP or obtaining any commercial or reputational benefits, without express written consent, will be punished with the strictest measures available under the law.
