On the 60th anniversary of the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON), RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat spoke about the relevance of Krishna consciousness in a world marked by conflicts, differences and divisions.
Addressing the gathering in New York, Bhagwat said that consciousness is what ultimately unites humanity despite the diversity and conflicts present in the world.
‘The Only Thing That Unites Us Is Consciousness’
Bhagwat said the world is witnessing numerous conflicts and dualities, but emphasised that a shared consciousness can serve as a unifying force.
“The world is Krishna Consciousness. In today’s world, there are so many conflicts and so many dualities. The only thing that unites us is consciousness. And that consciousness is Krishna Consciousness.”

He said people are fundamentally one and must navigate the differences and conflicts of the world with a strong understanding of this unity.
‘Though There Are Diversities, It Is All Krishna’
Bhagwat further said that the presence of diversity, duality and conflict does not change the underlying unity he associated with Krishna consciousness.
“We are one, and we have to navigate through these dualities of this world with the strong understanding that, though there are so many diversities, dualities and conflicts, really, it is all Krishna.”
Referring to the Bhagavad Gita, Bhagwat said this understanding of unity is among the teachings of the sacred text.
ISKCON Marks 60 Years
Bhagwat’s remarks came as ISKCON marked six decades since its founding. His address highlighted the organisation’s association with Krishna consciousness and the broader message of unity that he said remains relevant amid conflicts and divisions in the world.
