The West Bengal Board of Secondary Education has announced the West Bengal Madhyamik Result 2026. The overall pass percentage reached 86.83 per cent, and the competition among the toppers was extremely close. The pass rate too has increased from last year when 86.56 per cent cleared the WB Madhyamik exam.

North Dinajpur district delivered an outstanding performance, with 14 students securing positions in the top 10, the highest from any district. Abhiroop Bhadra, a student of Sarada Vidya Mandir in Islampur, Uttar Dinajpur, secured the first position with an exceptional score of 99.71 per cent. Birbhum student Priyatosh Mukherjee came second with 696 marks. Three students shared the third position with 695 marks: Mainak Mandal of Bankura, Ankan Kumar Jana of Purba Medinipur, and Saur Jana of Narendrapur Ramakrishna Mission.
Between the fifth and ninth ranks, many students obtained nearly identical marks. In total, 131 students earned a place in the top 10 list, underscoring the intense level of competition among students this year.
Another notable aspect of the results is the very small gap between the first and tenth ranks. While the topper scored 99.71 per cent, the student in the tenth position scored 98.29 per cent. This means there was a difference of only about 8 marks among the top 10 students.

How To Check WB Madhyamik Result 2026?
— Students can check their results by visiting the official websites of the West Bengal Board: wbresults.nic.in and wbbse.wb.gov.in.
To view the result, students need to enter their roll number and date of birth.
— Once the result is displayed on the screen, they can download and print their marksheets.
The online marksheets provided by the board are provisional. Students will later receive their original marksheets from their respective schools. For students facing internet connectivity issues, the board has also arranged SMS facilities so they can easily check their results via SMS. Separate arrangements have been made by the board for this purpose.
The West Bengal Secondary Examination 2026 was held from February 2 to February 12, 2026.
