Congress Parliamentary Party Chairperson Sonia Gandhi has been admitted to Sir Ganga Ram Hospital in Delhi for the last two days. Sonia was admitted at 10:22 pm on Tuesday night due to stomach and urinary infection. Congress MP Rahul Gandhi remained in the hospital to take care of his mother. He said in a video post on the social media account of Congress that he was sleeping on a small sofa in his mother’s room in the hospital. Like every son, he was also very worried about his mother’s health. However, the nurse from Kerala took great care of his mother. Which brought him relief. In fact, due to Sonia Gandhi’s ill health, Rahul Gandhi did not even attend the all-party meeting held at Parliament House on Wednesday. His tour to Kerala was also cancelled. Mallikarjun Kharge went in his place. Rahul addressed the gathering virtually. Now read Rahul’s full video message… Last night, I was sleeping on a small sofa in my mother’s room in the hospital. Like any son is worried about his mother’s health, I too was worried. The whole night, I felt solace in only one thing. I found solace in a nurse from Kerala who came every hour to see my mother. Every hour, she would come and see them. She would smile and hold his hand. I thought of how many sons, daughters, brothers and sisters the nurses of Kerala have provided solace in their darkest moments. Early in the morning, I asked her, do you sleep at night, or work all night? She said, I work all night. So, when the whole world is sleeping, the women of Kerala are giving solace to people, not just in Kerala but in Delhi, across the country and across the world. Holding his hand, and making him feel comfortable. For me, this is the identity of Kerala.
