Those inaccessible areas of the world which are surrounded by dense forests, where common people cannot bother to go. These people live in such a place, hidden from the eyes of the rest of the world. Live in such areas. A glimpse of one such unseen tribe has been captured on camera for the first time and a researcher has claimed that no one has ever seen these people before.
According to a New York Post report, an American conservationist has shared in a podcast unprecedented footage of an Amazon tribe that has not yet been contacted by anyone. Speaking to podcaster Lex Friedman, American conservationist and author Paul Rosolie said that he has spent two decades working in the Amazon. He says that that moment was one of the most profound experiences of his life. To understand all this, I had to show you this footage. This has never been shown before. This has happened for the first time in the world.
Until now, footage of tribes living out of touch with the modern world has been blurry. For example, some pictures or photos of the Sentinelese, the most dreaded tribe living in Andaman, were also taken earlier, but their quality was not good. The first photographs have usually been taken from a distance with older camera equipment.
This mysterious tribe lives in the Amazon forests
In the video, a herd of this tribe living in the Amazon forest reaches a remote beach. They proceed with caution. Then their eyes fall on strangers i.e. us. People watch us carefully. Looking at them it seems that people are trying to understand every little thing and anticipate possible danger.
Rosoli remembers that he carefully observed their body language when they were forming a formation with weapons. Look at the way they walk. Look at the way they point. Look at him with the bow, he says, pointing to a man who is loading an arrow onto a bow.
He says that initially it seemed that everything would go out of control and turn into violence. I was looking in every direction and wondering from which direction the arrow could have come. Then something changed. As they closed the distance, the tribesmen started lowering their weapons.
Rosoli says that as we came closer, they started putting down their bows and arrows. They understood. No, not anymore. Then the tension quickly turned to curiosity and some members of the tribe even showed a hint of amusement. These are warriors… it seemed as if they were ready for violence and now they are all standing comfortably and smiling.
There are 200 such tribes around the world, away from the modern world.
Researchers estimate that about 200 such groups still exist around the world, which have not been contacted. Most of them live in the Amazon rainforest of Brazil and Peru. Contacting them directly can be fatal, so information about these communities is available only from photographs taken from satellite and airplanes. Or the information is available only from the settlements located in the dense forests where such people live.
In 2018, 26-year-old American missionary John Allen Chau tried to contact the Sentinele people on North Sentinel Island in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands. Then that dreaded tribe killed Chau. He tried to introduce himself and propagate Christianity. He also left gifts and had recorded the details of that meeting in his diary.
The Sentinelese, known to shoot arrows at strangers on sight, resorted to violence and killed Chau soon after he landed. His body was never recovered. Because they had gone away with the dead body.
History has shown that even brief contact with such undiscovered tribes living amidst the jungles can give rise to common diseases that are relatively harmless to developed countries, but fatal to tribes that have not encountered these diseases in the past and have no immunity to fight them.
