वर्ल्ड अपडेट्स: सर्बिया में भ्रष्टाचार के खिलाफ हजारों छात्रों का प्रदर्शन, सैकड़ों लोगों को हिरासत में लिया गया

Thousands of people took to the streets in Navi Sad (Serbia) on Saturday. In this demonstration led by university students, the government was accused of corruption and it was announced to continue the movement against President Alexander Vučić.

The protesters accused the government of widespread corruption, chanting “chor-chor” slogans. Students say that government negligence and corruption are also responsible for the accident that took place at Navi Saad railway station in November 2024, in which 16 people died. After this incident the movement intensified across the country.

The students alleged that President Vučić has refused to hold early elections despite their demands. Hundreds of people have been detained during the agitation, while many have spoken of losing jobs or facing pressure.
