The song of director Sudhir Attavar’s film Koragajja was launched in Mangaluru on Saturday. This film is the first ever feature film based on Korgajja, the symbol of faith, justice and truth.

Kabir Bedi will be seen in the lead role in the film, who has played the role of the king of Udyavar province, while famous choreographer Ganesh Acharya himself has danced on a song of the film. Not only this, well-known dancer and actor Sandeep Soparkar will also be seen in a completely different and impressive role in the film.

Director Sudhir Attavar said that making the film was challenging, but it was possible due to the hard work and belief of the team. Korgajja is not just a film, but an effort dedicated to culture and faith.

He further told that for the last 10-15 years many producers and directors were trying to make a film on Korgajja. Shooting also started, but due to some reason the film was never completed. When I also went to make this film, people said that you cannot make it. There was a lot of controversy regarding this.

This film is made under the banner of Trivikram Cinema and Success Films. The film will be released in six languages – Kannada, Malayalam, Hindi, Telugu, Tamil and Tulu. Its music is given by Gopi Sundar and lyrics are written by Sudhir Attawar. Music released by Zee Music Company.

Famous singers like Shreya Ghoshal, Sunidhi Chauhan, Shankar Mahadevan, Javed Ali, Sharon Prabhakar and Swaroop Khan have lent their voices in the film. A total of 31 songs have been recorded in six languages, making the film even more grand.

The film’s producer and editor Vidyardhar Shetty played an important role in completing this big project. He had a major contribution in making shooting in different languages and difficult locations successful.

Is Korgajja similar to Kantara?

Like the recently released superhit film ‘Kantara’, ‘Korgajja’ also presents a story based on folk beliefs and culture. The basic idea of both the films is the same. That invisible connection between man and God, where faith and the soul of the land become one. Just as in ‘Kantara’ the folk tales and customs of Karnataka have been shown, in the same way in ‘Korgajja’ the story of the Korgajja deity has been presented from the perspective of today’s times.
