Telangana Govt Begins Application For Student Scholarship Scheme Worth Rs 20 Lakh, Check Details

Overseas Scholarship: The Telangana State Government has launched the Ambedkar Overseas Scheme to offer financial support to Scheduled Caste students aiming to pursue higher education abroad. Through this scheme, each selected student will receive a scholarship of up to Rs 20 lakhs.

The purpose of this scheme is to financially assist talented Scheduled Caste students in achieving higher education overseas. Annually, numerous students receive scholarships under this initiative, which is implemented by the Telangana State Scheduled Caste Development Department.

With the Ambedkar Vidyanidhi Scheme, Scheduled Caste students can receive scholarships up to Rs. 20 lakhs to study abroad, providing them the chance to enroll in foreign universities. This scheme will help students accomplish their educational aspirations, covering costs such as fees and visa expenses. Students can study in countries like America, London, Australia, and Canada. Each year, many students benefit and pursue higher education abroad through this scheme.

Applications are being invited from Scheduled Caste students of Jayashankar Bhupalpally district for the Ambedkar Overseas Education Fund Scheme 2025-26, as stated by District Scheduled Caste Development Officer M. Venkateshwarlu. Students in the district are encouraged to apply for this opportunity to study at universities abroad.

According to the official notice, the annual income of the parents of applicants should not exceed Rs. 5 lakhs, and only one student per family is eligible. The government will provide scholarships up to Rs. 20 lakhs to selected students for higher education in countries like America, Australia, London, and Canada.

“Upto 20 lakhs or as per admission letter which ever is less. One way Economic ticket and Visa charges. Only 1 child from a family is eligible. 60% in Graduation and Eligible score in GRE/GMAT and English Proficiency Test as per GO,” reads the official notice.

Interested and eligible students may apply with complete details on the website, telanganaepass.cgg.gov.in by the deadline of November 19. Those who apply online are advised to submit the application form to the office of the District Scheduled Caste Development Officer.
