Tesla Makes Debut In Indian Market

Tesla officially made its entry to the India market on July 15, 2025, with the launch of its first ‘Tesla Experience Centre’ at Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC), Mumbai. The facility offers Tesla’s electric vehicle range. During the launch, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Transport Minister Pratap Sarnaik were present to unveil the Model Y.

The vehicle comes with a starting price of Rs 6.78 million (approximately USD 79,000) for the long-range, rear-wheel drive version. Tesla’s arrival to the Indian market is seen as a significant moment for accelerating EV adoption in India.
