The 56th International Film Festival of India (IFFI) has started from today in Panaji, Goa. Bollywood actor Anupam Kher, director Shekhar Kapur, Telugu actor Nandamuri Balakrishna have inaugurated the Waves Film Bazaar at IFFI 2025.
The festival, which will run from 20-28 November, will showcase the best films from around the world.
Anupam Kher’s 4 films screened at IFFI
Anupam Kher’s 4 films will be screened in IFFI 2025, about which he has expressed happiness. The actor’s films that will be screened include ‘Tanvi the Great’, ‘The Bengal Files’, 1942 A Love Story and ‘Calories’.
‘Calories’ is a Canadian film, written and directed by Indo-Canadian filmmaker Isha Marjara, along with this a master class by Anupam will also be organized here on which he will talk.

While talking to news agency ANI, Anupam expressed happiness over this and said- ‘There are some achievements in life which make you humble, and this is one of them. Three of my films are being screened here at the 56th Goa International Film Festival.
Tanvi The Great directed by me; Vivek Agnihotri’s Bengal Files; And the Canadian film Calorie in the International section…I’m also conducting a workshop here. Also, 1942; There is also a special screening of “A Love Story”. Even after 40 years, I am very excited about it.
Earlier, the actor had also shared this information on his social media. He wrote- ‘Feeling excited and honored. This year I have had the privilege and honor of screening three of my films at the 56th International Film Festival of India.
The Indian Panorama section includes our own home production Tanvi De Great, Vivek Agnihotri’s The Bengal Files and the International section features my beautiful Canadian film Calorie.

Apart from this I will also conduct a master class at the prestigious film festival. The topic will be ‘Giving up is not an option.’ Very few actors get the opportunity to showcase such diverse and important work at a festival like this.
Where cinema is celebrated internationally. After my 41-year career and 549 films, it certainly looks like a great year. So see you all in Goa! Let’s celebrate the spirit of cinema.
