Five months before the US presidential election, Joe Biden from the Democratic Party and Donald Trump from the Republicans are in the field for the presidential debate today. Through this debate, Trump and Biden are presenting their views on important issues to the public.
For the first time, this debate is taking place almost three months ahead of schedule. At a time when Trump has been found guilty in the case of paying money to a porn star and he will be sentenced on July 11. At the same time, President Biden is in the dock over the US stance on the Israel-Hamas war. Also, his son Hunter Biden has been found guilty in the case of illegal possession of weapons.

First of all, know the rules of the debate…
The debate is being conducted by CNN’s two anchors, Jake Tapper and Dana Bash. They are called moderators. They ask questions to both the candidates one by one on important issues. Trump and Biden have been given 2 minutes to answer these.
After presenting their side, Trump and Biden have got 1 minute each to counter (make allegations) and answer them. The candidates have been given 1 pen, 1 notepad and 1 water bottle. The microphone of the candidates will be switched on only when their turn comes.

Question- What steps will you take to tackle climate change?
Trump: I want to provide clean air and clean water. We have made many rules. As far as clean air is concerned, I know much more than Biden. We have the lowest carbon emissions. Look at India, China and Russia, they have polluted the air more.
Biden: Climate change is a big issue. Trump takes it as a joke. It is a threat to the entire humanity. I have prepared a plan on this. I have talked to experts. Through this we will also provide new jobs. We want to focus on renewable energy instead of oil energy.

Trump’s response: Children are being used in drug rackets on the Mexican border. Strictness is very important. This is what we did. If someone wants to come, he will have to take the legal route. Biden’s response: Your government violated human rights in the name of immigration. Five hundred children were detained at the Mexican border. They were separated from their parents. Question: Trump is accused of not taking necessary steps to deal with Corona?
Trump’s reply- You are making allegations without any information. We tried everything possible. Not only America but every country in the world is in the grip of this pandemic. We are bringing the vaccine in a few weeks. We cannot close America due to the pandemic. We do not accept hiding in the basement like you.
Biden’s answer- A person who has caused the death of millions of American citizens and is responsible for the pandemic has no right to remain in the post of President. Trump had no plan to deal with this pandemic. I assure you that if we come to power, everyone will have to wear masks. Apart from this, testing will be increased.

Biden: If wearing masks had been made compulsory, 10,000 lives could have been saved. I have a plan to deal with this. Trump does not listen to the Chief of the Corona Task Force, Dr. Anthony Fauci. Is he a bigger expert than him?
Trump: What kind of fear is this that we shut down the world’s largest and most powerful economy. A disease that was spread by China. The death rate has gone down compared to the first one.
