Summer flight schedule is going to be implemented at airports across the country from March 29, but this time the number of flights at many airports of Rajasthan is likely to decrease. The biggest impact can be seen at Jaisalmer Airport, where there is a possibility of complete stoppage of flight operations in the summer schedule. In fact, it has been happening continuously for the last few years that regular flight operations from Jaisalmer Airport stop between April and September. Due to the same pattern, this time also it is expected that not a single flight will operate from here in the summer schedule to be implemented from March 29. Currently, 6 flights are operating daily from Jaisalmer Airport to Delhi, Mumbai, Jaipur and Bengaluru, but after March 28, all these flights may stop. Impact of tourism off season: The impact of reduction in flights will not be limited to Jaisalmer only. The number of flights at Udaipur, Jodhpur, Bikaner and Jaipur airports is also likely to decrease. Due to less tourist activities in summer, airlines reduce the number of flights. The business organizations of Jaisalmer have written letters to the airlines and the airport authority demanding regular flight operations in summer also, but despite this, till now no decision has been taken on continuing the flight operations from here in the summer schedule.
