The news of relief has come out between the ongoing struggle in Iran and Israel. A special aircraft reached Delhi in the early hours of Thursday with 110 Indian students expelled from war -torn Iran. These students were earlier transported from Iran to Armenia, from where they were brought to India. Among these students, 90 students are from Jammu and Kashmir, who were mainly studying medical.
The families of the students at the airport were eagerly waiting for their children. A father from Kota, Rajasthan said, “My son was doing MBBS in Iran. He is now returning from a special aircraft sent by the Government of India. I thank the Indian Embassy.”
What did the student from War Zone say?
Student Aman Azhar told ANI after landing in Delhi, “I am very happy. Can’t say in words how I am feeling with my family. The situation in Iran is very bad. The people there are also like us, there are small children who are in trouble. War is not good for anyone. It ends humanity.”
The family appreciated this quick action of the Government of India openly, but also expressed concern for those students who are still stuck in Iran’s War Zone, especially Tehran.
Advisory to citizens of Indian Embassy
On June 15, the Indian Embassy issued an advisory appealing to Indian citizens and Indians to avoid unnecessary movement and to keep in touch with official channels.

Reacting to India’s appeal, Iran has assured safe withdrawal from its ground routes, as the Iranian aircraft is still closed. Students have been advised to exit through neighboring countries like Azarbaijan, Turkmenistan and Afghanistan.
4000 Indian citizens living in Iran
Currently, Iran has more than 4,000 Indian citizens, of which about half are students. The Government of India, along with Iranian officials, is trying to safely return to other citizens trapped there.
