At least one person was killed and six others were injured after a blast at a CNG station in outer Delhi on Wednesday.

The incident took place at a CNG pump near Tikri Kalan Metro Station while gas was reportedly being transferred from a refilling truck at the station.

According to the Delhi Fire Service, a call about the incident was received at around 3:37 pm. Two fire tenders were rushed to the spot to control the blaze.

The Delhi Police confirmed that one person died in the accident. The victim, 25-year-old Manish, a resident of Baba Haridas Colony, was reportedly filling CNG into a bus when the blast occurred and died at the spot.

Six other people sustained serious injuries in the incident and were taken for medical treatment.
