The new reality show ‘The 50’, starting from 1 February 2026 on Colors TV and Jio Hotstar, will take the audience to a completely different world. The show is inspired by the French superhit reality show Les Cinquante and is being presented in a new style in India.
The team of Dainik Bhaskar did an exclusive tour inside the most special part of the show i.e. ‘The Palace’, where 50 contestants will be seen fighting for survival for the next 50 days.
Lion will conduct the game
The biggest feature of this show is the ‘Lion’, who will be running the entire game. 50 contestants will play on the instructions of the lion, make strategies and fight for survival. The Lion’s Den is the most powerful and mysterious part of the palace, from where it will give new surprise games to the contestants.
Symbols of animals are seen everywhere inside the palace. Sculptures and designs of lion, fox, cheetah, bear and other animals remind that this is a game of survival of the fittest. There will be friendship as well as betrayal, and new strategies will be formed every moment.

Arena: where the real test will take place
The most dangerous part of the palace is the arena, where both physical and mental games will take place. This area is reminiscent of the Squid Game, but here it will not be a battle to the death, but a battle of wits and strategy. The contestants who lose here will be sent to the unsafe zone, where the further decision will be taken by Lion.
Unsafe Zone: Alarm Bell
The Unsafe Zone is the scariest part of the show. Reaching here means danger of elimination. Even though this place may be beautiful to look at, it will be very difficult for the contestants sitting here. This is where the game can change.
Royal But Wild Castle
The palace of ‘The 50’ is a unique combination of Rajasthan’s craftsmanship and jungle theme. There are wooden carvings, lion masks, chandeliers, galleries and a glimpse of the Animal Kingdom around every corner. Sitting areas have been created in different parts of the palace, where the contestants will talk, make friends and perform tricks.
Bedroom and living area In this show, the contestants will not be made to sleep in a big hall like normal reality shows. There are separate bedrooms here, which have three to four beds. The color and theme of each room is different, somewhere green tone and somewhere aqua blue. There are cameras installed everywhere, which will keep an eye on every move of the contestants 24 hours.

No kitchen, buffet area There will be no kitchen in ‘The 50’. The Lion does not like dirt in his kingdom. Therefore, contestants will get food in the buffet area. Here too there will be strategy and negotiations, but not kitchen politics.
no fixed rules The biggest twist of this show is that there will be no fixed rules in it. Elimination will not happen through voting, but through strategy and social intelligence. The game will be completely unpredictable.
Viewers watching the show on Jio Hotstar will be able to support their favorite contestants. If the contestant they supported wins, the viewers can also share in the prize.

Who are the contestants? Many well-known faces will be seen in the show, including names like Divya Aggarwal, Karan Patel, Urvashi Dholakia, Shiny Doshi, Faisal Shaikh and Monalisa. All of them will fight for survival for 50 days and try to increase the prize money.
When and where to watch the show?
‘The 50’ will start airing from February 1, 2026. The show will stream on Jio Hotstar at 9 pm and will be telecast on Colors TV at 10:30 pm.
