Well-known actor of TV industry, Nakuul Mehta has recently shared an incident related to rejection. Nakul, who became a household name with hit shows like Ishqbaaaz and Pyaar Ka Dard Hai Meetha Meetha Pyaara Pyaara, revealed that he was dropped from a big Hindi film only because he was “too good looking” for the role. In an interview given to News 18, Nakul told that he was going to be a part of the sequel of a famous producer-director’s film. He said, “Everything was decided. The photoshoot was done, the dates were also locked. I was in an acting workshop, when the director called. He said, I thought about it and I think you are very good looking for this character.” Nakul further told that he had to play the character of a prince of Rajasthan. Because of this he found this thing even more strange. He said, “I kept wondering what my looks had to do with that character. Later I thought maybe he had no other reason to say so.” Nakul also revealed that the film was never made and recently the director had also gone to jail. Talking about the actor’s recent work, he was recently seen in the web series ‘Space Jane-Chandrayaan’. Made under the banner of TVF, this series has been directed by Arunabh Kumar. Shriya Saran was seen in an important role with Nakul in the series. This series depicts the story from the failure of India’s Chandrayaan-2 mission to the historic success of Chandrayaan-3. The show has received mixed reviews from critics and is currently streaming on Jio Hotstar.
